Can I sail the Nelson Lugger with an outboard on the transom?
Yes but obviously you'll need to use your common sense. It's not recommended in strong winds or rough conditions.

Why do you not recommend an outboard bigger than 4 hp?
To make the Nelson Lugger such a pleasure to row it's hull shape is not designed to plane like a fast motorboat. With a bigger engine the Nelson Lugger could become unstable and won't go faster.

How easy is it to set up the sailing rig and how long does it take?
It's very simple and easy. Once you've done it a couple of times it shouldn't take more than about 15 or 20 minutes.

Can I row the Nelson Lugger or use an outboard with the mast up?
Yes. Obviously you will need to lower the sails first!

Does the Nelson Lugger come with any sort of warranty?
The Nelson Lugger is guaranteed against manufacturing faults and defects for the original owner for useable lifetime of the boat. If you are unfortunate enough to damage your Nelson Lugger in an accident then we will repair the boat at a reasonable cost.
